Terms of Service
By accessing or using SelfTalk, you agree to these terms. Do not use SelfTalk if you do not agree.
1. Acceptance of Terms
A binding agreement with SelfTalk
By creating an account or using any part of the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
Who can use SelfTalk
- You must be at least 13 years old to use SelfTalk.
- AI music generation uses music credits included with eligible SelfTalk tiers or purchased as top-ups. Optional connected playback may require a separate provider account.
- If you use SelfTalk on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Description of Service
Support, creation, and playback
- Create affirmations, lyrics, and AI songs from your own inner-voice work.
- Use live voice support to turn conversations into songs, plans, and saved affirmations.
- Listen to curated tracks, generated songs, and optional connected playback in one music library.
- Manage private support data, saved outcomes, voice profiles, and credit activity from your account.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with or without notice.
SelfTalk does not provide licensed medical care, diagnosis, crisis response, or emergency services.
4. Accounts and authentication
Connected account security
You may sign in using Google or Spotify OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your connected accounts and for all activity under your SelfTalk account.
Notify us immediately at support@selftalk.media if you suspect unauthorized access.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are involved in fraudulent activity.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Premium billing and music credits
- Recurring subscriptions
- Some features require SelfTalk Premium. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing cycle.
- Refunds
- Refund requests are evaluated case-by-case. If you believe you were charged in error, contact billing@selftalk.media within 14 days of the charge.
- Price changes
- We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' advance notice. Continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of your submissions
You retain ownership of text you submit to generate affirmations or songs. You grant SelfTalk a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store that content solely to provide the service. You must not submit content that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Contains hate speech, harassment, or content designed to harm others.
- Attempts to circumvent our AI content safety filters.
We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms without prior notice.
7. Prohibited Uses
Actions that can result in suspension
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service.
- Use the service to develop a competing product.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without our written consent.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or network.
- Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the service.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service without permission.
- Use the service in any way that violates the terms of our music, AI, payment, or playback providers.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of SelfTalk, including software, design, text, graphics, logos, and curated affirmation recordings, are owned by SelfTalk or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission. Third-party provider names and logos remain the property of their respective owners.

SelfTalk is not medical, mental health, or crisis care
Not Medical Advice
SelfTalk is a wellness and personal development tool. The affirmations, coaching-style support, and music provided are for motivational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional mental health, medical, or therapeutic advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact a qualified healthcare professional or call your local emergency services.
No Warranty
The service is provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SelfTalk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or $50 USD.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SelfTalk and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with American Arbitration Association rules. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will update the date above and may include an email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
